Thinking of Dorothy, my dearest friend, and her family on her birthday, with love. No one could and ever will take her place in my heart and in my life--she was so very special.
"You and I will meet again/
When we're least expecting it/
One day in some far off place/
I will recognize your face/
I won't say goodbye my friend/
For you and I will meet again."

Let your light and warmth comfort us
through your presence within us.
Let your kindness flow through us
as we embody your spirit of generosity.
Let your smile shine through ours
while your laughter echoes among our voices.
Let your infinite love embrace us,
until we're together again.

Every sibling should have one
So should every daughter and son
As well a husband too
To take care of you.
I speak of Dorothy,
Giving she always would be.

Evan, Sonja & Brad, Oz & Shane - Our hearts are broken for your loss. Dorothy's love, laughter, and generous spirit were evident from the first time meeting her. We were blessed to have known her, worked with her and called her friend. Memories will never replace what you have lost, but may your treasured memories with her help ease the pain. Know that you are in our thoughts, hearts, and available to help in any way you need. All of our love, Lori and Tristan.

Dorothy or "D", as she always signed her notes was a very special, and much loved friend.
We are heartbroken.
Dorothy was one of a kind, and we will miss her wonderful smile & sense of humour, which sometimes strayed towards the risqué. We are grateful for the many years, & happy memories we have shared with her & Evan. And treasure our last evening spend together, at Orchestra London this past Fall.
As a friend, Dorothy came when we really needed her help to sort out accounts & books, but she stayed on for 20+ years, and we couldn't have done it without her! Dorothy not only possessed amazing organizational skills, but worked with commitment, loyalty & integrity, and she didn't just work that way, she was that way!
Monday morning chat sessions were always a highlight of the week. Topics included just about anything, including: theatre, concerts, life, but most often her kids, grandkids, & family events-- happy or sad—they became the thread which wove Dorothy into the fabric of our lives. Dorothy we love you, and you will always live on in our hearts.
Our deepest sympathy to Evan, Sonja, Oz, and their families.
With Love,
Frank & Lesley

Dear Evan, Sonja, Oz & Family's, The last few weeks have been filled with sorrow & grief. We know how much Dorothy loved all of you. She was so special & left too soon, but we know that she will never be far from you. You will feel her when you need her most, because you were everything to her. We hope that this brings you comfort in the days, and weeks ahead. With Love, Frank & Lesley

Evan, Oz, & Sonja, Although we only shared a table at BJC concerts over I don't know how many years, Dorothy's beautiful spirit always shone each evening we spent there and every time we walked away uplifted by it ~ an invaluable gift we will continue to treasure. Evan, we know you all must be devastated and that no words can help console you through this immeasurable loss, but Dorothy's happy soul is in our thoughts and our prayers. That she was such a positive person who managed to influence even the slightest of contacts must give you some solace ~ she drew her strength from you all three ~ THAT was obvious, and it gave her the strength to pass it on to SO many others ... A pebble tossed into a pond ~ endless ripples of effect unto infinity: that is Dorothy's soul's effect in this world of ours. We grieve with you and will celebrate with you

Dear Evan, Sonja and Garth; I had the pleasure of spending some time with Dorothy while Oz and I were working on the Wood Duck. Her patience was second only to her kindness, and she raised a wonderful daughter. Oz leaves things to be desired, but I love him too. I've been thinking about you lots in this sad time, but I know that your love is strong and that this too shall pass. Much love, Amy and David "Roadie" Estill
