Obituary of Peter John Paul Nicholson

Peter John Paul Nicholson, 57, of Oakville, Ontario, died on Tuesday, September 20th, 2011. Born on February 16th, 1954 in Listowel, Ontario, he was the son of the late Michael and Margaret (Crowley) Nicholson. Beloved husband of Stella (Markowski) Nicholson; loving father of Matthew and Brett Nicholson; loving step-father of Justin Aitken; brother of Marian(late Mike) McSwigan, Pat (Gail) Nicholson and Eileen(Guy)Kirvan. Loving son-in-law of Maria and the late Stanley Markowski. Paul will be fondly remembered by Mary Nicholson and his nieces and nephews. Paul, a former London Knight (1970-1974) and NHL hockey player with the Washington Capitals (1974-1977) was heavily involved in the London Junior Knights hockey program (Formerly the Greater London Hockey Association), as well as with Hockey Canada as a Facilitator in the National Coaches Certification Program. A 1982 graduate of UWO Business Administration, he was most recently employed at McCowan Design and Manufacturing where he assumed the role of President. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, September 25th from 2-4p.m. and 7-9p.m. at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael's Church, 511 Cheapside Street, on Monday morning, September 26th at 10 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery
