Honey it has been the hardest year of my life and the pain only increases with each passing day. When you died, you took my heart. I pray Jesus returns soon so that we can be together again. I miss your sweet, smiling face. "Forever in Love Stella & Paul" engraved in our wedding rings. How powerful those words.......not even death can break our bond. Rest in peace my angel.

To family, friends, colleagues and neighbours, thank you for your support, flowers, kind words, assistance with the funeral arrangements, & visitation. We are so thankful for people like you. Paul was a great man. Kind, generous, loving, patient, saw potential in people and helped develop their gift. I miss his infectious laugh and smile, such a sweet gentle soul, gone to be with the Lord. I pray that Jesus returns soon, so that we may once again be together, this time forever. Please be good to one another, love unconditionally, and may the Lord bring you peace. Stella Nicholson and Family

The news of Paul's passing came as an incredible shock to me. This is a man that I looked up to, and respected, as a leader and a friend. I witnessed many times his special relationship to the people he touched ... especially the children that he coached in the Greater London hockey program. As an assistant coach, I watched him teach the the kids on the team (including my son Jordan) how to be better hockey players and, to be better people. He actively demonstrated confidence, commitment, and especially caring. Our sincere condolences go out to Matt, Brett, and Stella. Paul will be greatly missed, but we cherish the time he was with us. God bless.

I first met Paul when he became president of McCowan Mfg.We establihed a very good business relationship, through this business relationship we also had the opportunity to enjoy some personal time together. Paul had a real passion for his job and for Hockey.I had the opportunity to go to a couple of Toronto maple leaf games with Paul and this is where I got to feel and see his passion for hockey. With the arrival of The Winnipeg Jets back to Winnipeg,Paul called me to discuss the team and that he was thrilled for our City to get them back,we also planned to have him join me in a game once the season started.Paul will be missed by our Company as he was well respected in his business dealings. Our sympathies go out to the Nicholson family,Paul I will miss your phone calls!

Dear Crowley and Nicholson Family, We were all so saddened to hear of Paul's passing. It was such a treat for my sister Teresa and her husband Jerry, my son Ryan, and I to see so many of you last fall. Paul and I were the same age and I remember how much fun it was running everywhere with him when we visited as kids. I may have been ready for the hockey league had I lived there trying to keep up with him. He was absolutely the cutest boy and so easy to be around. As we got older, it was strickly sports during the visit. I think baseball season was starting in June and he and the buddies played across the the street at the park, then he let my brother Peter go with him. I was so pleased to meet the "grown up" Paul during our visit. He was pleasant and had an instant smile. My brother Greg visited with Paul during the Master's tournament and thoroughly spending time with him in Augusta. Greg enjoyed calling each one of us to report on their time and what a charismatic guy Paul was. We were all so jealous we had missed the visit. They stayed in touch through email over the year. Greg was devastated at losing a new found relative as he was just a babe when we visited you guys. We all are at a loss for words, but know what loss is as Teresa's son Jason touched us in his unexpected passing. Time is a slow friend to help in healing. We all love you so. We have you and Paul in our thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Gerry Crowley

So sad to hear about the passing of my friend Paul. To me Paul was a "larger than life" guy. As Smitty said, always firm but always fair. Forever grateful for the lasting touch of life-skills he has had on my son Mike and the many other kids who played hockey for him. I was fortunate enough to have coached hockey with Paul for a few years. A caring, classy man who taught me a lot about leadership. You left a lasting impression Paul. God Bless.

Here is a very decent and wonderfully kind man, full of grace and dignity. Paul Nicholson will long be recognized by people of London for his enormous commitment to youth and to the development of coaching skills for men and women who wished to follow his example. That commitment took much of his time, a great deal of his patience, and all of his hockey and baseball knowledge. Paul would have been the first to say that the young people in whom he invested his time and awareness gave him so much happiness, laughter and satisfaction as they developed their skills. More important, they all learned how to be fine young citizens of our city. Adults who were trained in coaching skills development learned patience, communication skills and the value of humour. His motto was always: Be firm and Fair! Paul Nicholson was instrumental in the development of both the athletic and life skills of our son Dan. We will forever be grateful for the way he moulded our son as a fine team player and the fact that he touched our lives the way he did. Our hearts go out to Stella at this sad time of loss and to Matthew and Brett who say a tearful good-bye to their Dad as they continue to honour and display Paul's approach to coaching, to career, and to hockey. Rest in Peace, Bud.
