Obituary of James Patrick O'Donnell

O'DONNELL, James Patrick - The family of James Patrick O'Donnell (Jim O'Donnell) announce his peaceful passing at the Palliative Care Unit of London Health Sciences Center (Victoria Hospital) on January 26, 2014, in his 76th year. Jim is survived by Cathy, his wife of 50 years, and sons Jamie and Kevin and partners Cynthia and Julie. Also survived by his four grandchildren, Sabine, Lauren, Seamus and Declan of whom he was particularly proud. Predeceased by his parents Bertha and Jim O'Donnell and his sister Pat Capitano. Jim was a teacher for over 3 decades at North Lambton Secondary School in Forest, Ontario and was especially proud of his involvement as Staff Advisor to the school's Student Council. During his years in Forest, Jim was also involved for many years with both Army Cadets and the Scouting groups in Forest. All during Jim's brief illness, he and his family were extended the best care and kindness on all occasions from staff at LHSC, and their compassion is greatly appreciated. Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street on Wednesday morning January 29, 2014 from 10:30 until the time of the service at 12 Noon.
