Just getting this info about "OD". Both Hugh and I want to tell you how much we appreciated him as a teacher and a cadet leader. He was a rare man who made a real difference in his students lives. I loves arguing with him and he loved when we did argued. It showed him that we were listening. Our prayers are with you all.

So sorry to hear the news of Jim's passing. Mr. O'Donnell was one of my first heroes. In a time where as a young boy, the boy scouts gave me a place to escape and enjoy the company of others. As my family went through tough times, Jim inspired me to keep my head up and try to find the good in every experience. He also encouraged me to continue to be the best I can be. He gave me hope and helped me through the difficulty of moving away. He truly was a great friend and an amazing man who dedicated his life to helping others. I know I was one of those people. He will always be remembered. May he rest in peace. Until we meet again. My thoughts are with the O'Donnell family during this difficult time.

Cathy Jamie Kevin and families. Sorry to hear of Jim's passing. Our condolences go out to you. I'll never forget the exciting times that Jim and I had at North Lambton, especially with the wonderful students on the Student's council. He was a tremendous asset to the school and I'm sure his students will remember him with great fondness for his caring ways. I want you to know that I am grateful for the opportunities he afforded me as a colleague and friend. His contributions to North Lambton were creative and I for one appreciated what he did.

Dear Cathy and Family, I was saddened to read of Jim's passing in the paper. I have fond memories of Mr. O'Donnell as my teacher at N.L.S.S. Years after I graduated, Jim would meet me on the street in Forest and stop to chat about what was going on in my life. My heartfelt sympathy to all of you as you mourn the loss of your husband, father and grandfather. Cherish your memories and hold them close to your hearts. Marcia Minielly - Class of 1975

Dear Cathy, Jamie, Kevin and families ... I just received the news of Jim's death this afternoon, and was stunned. I am so, so sorry ... I know we haven't seen each other these last few years, but I remember Jim with great fondness, respect and gratitude, as my teacher, as our student council teacher rep, as our Scout leader, but most of all for being my sponsor when I became a Catholic all those years ago. Thinking of you all, and sending loving prayers your way ... I hope we will cross paths in the not too distant future. Love, Murray
