Kelly, I just wanted to let you know my thoughts and my prayers are with you and your family through this heartbreaking time. Nothing I can say will ease your pain but I just wanted you to know I am thinking of you and your precious girls. I wish I was closer and could give you the biggest hug ever and talk about Avril who is one of the most beautiful persons I know. I have so many memories of my wonderful cousin its hard to pick out a few to share. From skidding on dry cow pats in the field beside her house in windgap to deciding we were going to be olympic gymnasts. Avril was with me when i went to my first teenage disco, we looked gorgeous in our skinny jeans and pale pink lipstick and about 3 cans of hairspray!.. When in our mid teens we stayed in aunty annes house for a few nights. Around 2am we climbed out the window and down the alley way sneaking past anne's room. We met up with some of our friends and stayed out talking and messing for an hour or two. We nearly wet ourselves laughing trying to get back in the window without waking anne up. Avril gave me a leg up and i tried pulling her in the window then.. Avril was home once and she had her lovely walkman with her. Nirvana's 'smells like teen spirit' had just been released but not in Ireland. We learned the words and loved it. In the disco it came on and we were the only two people on the floor dancing and singing to it.. we thought we were so cool!!.. These are just a few memories i have of a beautiful person who i was proud to call my cousin. Rest in peace Avril and keep dancing to Nirvana up in the sky xxxxxxxxxxx

I was shocked and very saddened to hear about the sudden passing of Avril. Avril and I were the best of friends in high-school. I think I practically lived at her house and her mom Catherine was always so kind. She and I got into more trouble and were grounded more times than we could count :).
