Obituary of Dora Mae Dannecker
Dora Mae Dannecker
Peacefully on Sunday, Sept 22, 2024, Dora passed away with family by her side.
Dora was born in Cleveland, Ohio where she grew up with her parents and two sisters. She moved to London in 1969 where she enjoyed the rest of her life in the city that she loved.
Friends and family were everything to Dora and she hosted many dinner parties to celebrate special occasions. Known for her fabulous spaghetti and meatballs, some of her final words to family and friends were, “Don’t lose the recipe!”
Dora was very active in the Catholic Women’s League (CWL) at St. Peter’s Cathedral for approximately 28 years. As a past President, she was a Historian for her Council and photographer for many events. She also served as a Chair of Communications and wrote for the Cathedral Connections. Our family greatly appreciates the tireless support of Dora’s CWL sisters during the final months of her life, with so many visits, heartfelt prayers, and special moments.
Loving Mother of Michael Twohey (Jane), and cherished grandmother of Mike and Anna.
Predeceased by parents Carmen and Jennie Christopher.
Dear sister of Mary Ann Perry (Ken) and Linda Toth (Joe), and Aunt to Adrienne DiGeronimo (Michael), Jennifer Perry Donahue (Mark), Brian Toth (Maria, Luke, Emily, Claire), and Kristen Toth.
