Obituary of Winifred Gertrude Weerasooriya

Peacefully passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2024 in her 94th year.  Beloved wife for 57 years to the late Aelian Joseph Weerasooriya. Loving and devoted mother of Susil "Zeke", Marie (Jodi Epps), Kawmadhie "Kay", Dinesh (Lija) and Miriam (Brian Downie).  Sadly missed by her grandchildren Mark, Peter and Elise Epps, Sarah and Beth Downie and Ocean, Dante, and Calixa Weerasooriya. Fondly remembered by her many relatives and friends, both near and far.   Visitation will take place Saturday, May 4 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at John T. Donohue Funeral home, 362 Waterloo Street, London, Ontario.   A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, 490 Days Road, Kingston, Ontario on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 11 a.m.   Interment will take place the weekend of August 23, 2024 at St. Peter's Cemetery, Goderich, Ontario.  As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to any of the following: Mount Hope Centre for Long Term Care (St. Mary's) CLICK HERE or any Local Catholic church or charity would be appreciated by the family.
