Winnie's wit was unmatched. Though I did not always hear or understand Amma's original Yoda-like wisdom, I've shared many-a-chuckle over the years with Miriam & Kay about some of her best material. Sincere condolences to all the Weerasooriya family. Your dear mother and grandmother was such a lovely woman, inside and out. I will always remember the ever-bright smile that lit up her pretty face. Her constantly cheerful countenance made her seem perpetually young. She was a joy to be around -- always kind and sweet and thoughtful -- and I was the grateful recipient on so many occasions of her warm hospitality. Her deep faith was an inspiration to all. May she rest in eternal peace in the loving arms of her God.
