Obituary of Agnes Anne Lowry

Lowry, Agnes Peacefully on Monday, February 6, 2012 at her home Agnes Anne Lowry in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late John H. (Jack) Lowry (1996). Loving daughter of the late Henry McFarlane and Theresa Kane. Loved mother of Chris Lowry (Penny Caminiti) and Bridget Ambrogio (Anthony). Predeceased by her infant daughter Mary Agnes Lowry (1956). Cherished grandmother of Mark Ambrogio, Patrick Ambrogio (friend Lisa Kirwin) and Emily Ambrogio. Dear aunt to Gordon McFarlane, Marnie Wegman, Carl Lowry, Robert Lowry, Deanna Ward and Linda Maskell. Survived by dear cousins in England, Ontario, Quebec and the United States. Agnes will be missed by her many close friends. Agnes was a kind and generous lady with a keen sense of humour. Special thanks to Dr. Kirk Hamilton and Lori, Dr. Mary Jenkins, the physicians, nurses and support staff at University Hospital, EMS and police services. Thank you to Agnes' caregivers and Tracey Smith. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Thursday, February 9th from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass at St. Martin of Tours Church, 46 Cathcart Street, on Friday morning, February 10th at 11 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Prayers Thursday at 7:30 o'clock. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to St. Vincent de Paul Society c/o St. Martin of Tours Church, or University Hospital c/o LHSF or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
