Obituary of Anton Tony Dolar
Tony's struggle with cancer ended on Thursday November 26th at Innisfree House
where he passed away at the age of 71. Predeceased by his parents Leopold Dolar &
Marija Gomilar and by his siblings Ludvik, Marija, Joze & Stan. Tony is survived by
his sister Kathie and her husband Stan Tamse of London and his sister-in-law
Frances Dolar of Sarnia. He will be greatly missed by Daniel (Caroline)(Jennifer,
Christina, Steven), Sonia (Victor)(Monique, Samuel), Robert (Janice)
(Derek,Valerie), Richard, and Tanya (Marc) (Sabrina, Tomas). Fondly remembered by
special friends & business partner Gen & Rozeena Gopaul, and many other friends and
family members here in Canada and in Slovenia. Tony immigrated from Slovenia to
Canada in 1963 and lived and worked in London, Sarnia and then Kitchener, where
Tony and Gen started T&G Precision Tool & Die. He enjoyed and excelled at his work.
In his spare time, Tony loved riding in his sports car and had special memories of
travel with family & friends. His strong will and sense of humour carried him
through life.The family wishes to thank everyone at Grand River & St. Mary's
Hospitals, especially the heart function clinic, Dr. Elaine Boutell, Dr. Lana Tan,
nurse Judy from ParaMed, Dr. Donna Ward and our heartfelt thanks to everyone at
Innisfree house for helping Tony with loving support and compassionate care.
Visitors are welcome to share memories of Tony during visitation in Kitchener on
Sunday November 29th at Henry Walser Funeral Home 507 Frederick St. from 2-4 pm and
also in London on Monday November 30th at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo St.,
from 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Mary Immaculate Catholic
Church,1980 Trafalgar Street in London on Tuesday December 1, 2015 at 10 am.
Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery - London.
