Obituary of Gerard Leo Czuczman

CZUCZMAN, Gerard Leo Peacefully on Wednesday, October 28th, 2015 in his 85th year at University Hospital (London, Ontario). Predeceased by his loving wife Hanna "Siobhan" (nee O'Donnell) in December 2014. Cherished father of Paul (Maureen) of Port Elgin, Barbara (Fred) of San Francisco, Mary (Tony) of Tillsonburg and David (Jill) of Whitby. Loving Grandfather to Mark, Kevin, and Luke Czuczman; Connor and John Abbott; Matthew (Nichole), Rebecca, Bruce and David Hietkamp; Ben and Amy Czuczman. Great-Poppy to Keith. Predeceased by his siblings Paul, Peter, Bernard, Stashia, Mary, Kathleen, Petronella "Pat" and Barbara. Survived by two sisters-in-law in Ireland, Philomena and Tessie, along with many nieces and nephews in Canada and Ireland. Gerard was born in Manchester, England and served in the Royal Air Force before immigrating to Canada. Gerard then worked for 34 years for the Department of National Defence at the 27 Central Ordnance Depot/Highbury Complex in London before retiring in 1986. Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street on Monday morning, November 2nd from 10:30 - 11:30. Funeral Mass at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 1 Fallons Lane, London, on Monday afternoon, November 2nd at 1 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery, London. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
