Gillespie Evelyn, Gillespie Evelyn (nee Phillips) at London Health Sciences Centre on Friday, October 23, 2015, born in 1937 in Chatham, Ontario. Devoted wife and best friend of Stephen Gillespie for 57 years. Loved mother of Timothy E. Gillespie and Colleen M. Meiller both of London. Beloved grandmother of Jacob E. Meiller (Stephanie) and Joshua J. Meiller all of London. Sister of Helen (Joseph) Allegretti of Carson City, Nevada, Shirley (Cameron) Gilhula of Chatham, Ontario, Florence (Adrian) VandenEnden of Chatham, Ontario, Richard (Bernardine) Phillips of Tilbury, Ontario and Joseph (deceased 1951). Daughter of the late James Phillips and Sarah Iler of Coatsworth, Ontario. Evelyn graduated from London Teacher's College in 1957, having taught school in Leamington, Riverside, Dorchester and London schools from 1954 to 1972. She was a member of St. Patrick's C.W.L and St. Vincent de Paul Society. Visitation at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street, London on Tuesday evening from 7-9 o'clock and on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick's Church, 377 Oakland Avenue, London on Thursday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery.
