Obituary of Helen Catheline Lewis

LEWIS Helen C (nee Dawson) Passed away peacefully at the McCormick Home on Friday, January 27, 2012, at the age of 101 years. Helen was born in South Monaghan Township in the Peterborough area on September 13, 1910, daughter of the late Charles Dawson and the former Bertha Dean. She was predeceased by Gordon, her husband of 69 years. Loving mother of the late Wayne Lewis and his wife Dee Lewis of London and Doug Lewis and his wife Wendy Simpson-Lewis of Merrickville, Ontario. She will be greatly missed by her many grandchildren; David Lewis and his wife Kristen of London, Kailey Lewis and her husband Al Grujic of Ross, California, Susie Lewis of London, Mary Liz Milijasevic and her husband Steven of Guelph. Dear great-grandmother of Cal, Jordyn, Zachary, Jacob, Gabriella, Jose, Maxim and Lola. Sister of Alf and the late Victor, Frank and Jack. Helen was a much cherished Aunt to many nieces and nephews There will be no funeral home visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place. The family expresses appreciation to all the wonderful caregivers and the thoughtful staff of the McCormick Home, and to special friends Gail Copeland and Rita Walker.
