Sincere sympathies to Joey and her family in the loss of a good and decent man. Tony was a long time friend and supporter, and we shared many a hearty laugh over the years. London has lost a great citizen and business man. I am out of town and unable to attend the mass, but my prayers are with all of you. May Tony rest in peace ! Pat and Evelyn O'Brien

I first had the opportunity to try Tonys Famous Pizza back in 1968 when my father Ron Leslie was a delivery driver for Tony. I was 3yrs old and my dad would wake my mom and I up to have pizza after his shift. We were frequent visitors to Tonys over the years. He sponsored my daughters baseball team and she is also a big fan of Tonys for the past 29yrs! He will truly be missed! pehaps he will meet my dad up in heaven and share a story or two of the Old Days!

I had the pleasure of knowing Tony for many years. He sponsored our ten pin bowling team for years in the late 60's and 70's. We were the best dressed team in the league. Our uniforms consisted of Navy Blue dress slacks with white shirts with red shoulders and many navy and white stars. The back of our shirts read Tony's Pizza with our last name on the back and our first name on the front over the pocket. he wanted for us to stand out and that we did. Win or lose Tony would want us to come down during the season and at the end for pizza and beer. We thought Tony's Pizza was the only Pizza place in town. Tony was a great man and loved his family, customers and friends. My condolences go out to the entire Ianni family at this very difficult time. Remember the memories, I did and will. Barry Edgar.

In the mid 1960's, I saw an Ad in the London Free Press for a student to answer the phones on the weekends at Tony's Pizza on Dundas St. To be honest, at that time, I had never even tasted a Pizza.
I wanted to make some spending money so I asked my Mother and she said, Yes, I could apply, but, she had to come along to the interview so she could meet the Boss as well. As a teenager, you can imagine, I was more than a little embarrassed that my Mother would do that, but I knew there would be no convincing her of anything else, so off we went.
I was so disappointed when we got to the Pizza Place to find out that the job was already taken. I never even thought to call ahead. Tony, however, did take my phone number. Several months later, I got a call that the other girl was no longer employed there and I could have the job. Tony remembered my Mother and I coming in for the interview. I guess sometimes Mother's do know best.
I kept that job for over 3 years. During that time I had the opportunity to get to know his lovely wife, Joey and to meet his children. It was a great atmosphere working there and I found that Tony was a fair boss.
While I was working there one of the waitresses introduced me to one of her brothers who happened to come in one night to help with the pizza deliveries. As it turned out, her brother and I got married 46 years ago and are still married. I guess in a way that means that Tony played Cupid!
My condolences to all the Ianni family,
Dianna Low

Dear Joey and all the Ianni family, it is with great sadness that we read of Tony's passing. Over the years we frequented Tony's restaurant, but more importantly we knew Tony from a long time ago when Dianna worked there and from there we got to know Joey as well. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to you at this time. Lyle and Dianna Low.

I first met Tony when he worked for Vic at Vito's Cave and then got to know him when I was an employee at Walker Drugs, next door to the first Tony's on Dundas St. The Parkview Dairy Bar was my lunch and Tony's pizza was my supper when I worked Saturdays at the Drugstore. Tony never forgot who I was and every time my family ate there he always came and reminisced with me about those old days back in the 60's. He was always a friend to me and will be missed.

Dear Vince; It certainly was a shock when I read about your dad's death this morning. It was not so long ago when I was at the restaurant chatting and yoking with him. I did not see him often but I will miss him. Never will I forget the very first time I met him at Dr. Bob's office. Please accept my warmest condolences. I will keep you all in my prayers. God be with you, DORIS
