Obituary of Angela Walsh

Angela Walsh, 88, of London, with family members at her side, passed away peacefully at University Hospital in London on Saturday, April 18, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Denis Walsh (1969). Dear mother of Martin Walsh (Joan), Marilyn Gamble (Gary) and Steven Walsh (Patti). Loving grandmother of Kristen Upton (Chad), Ryan Walsh (Tracey), Michelle McCoubrey (Matthew), Jonathan Gamble, Allison Walsh, and Kyle Walsh (Lisa). Cherished great-grandmother of Lauren Upton and Willa Walsh. Predeceased by parents Louis and Stella O'Reilly, brother Louis in infancy, and brother Jack O'Reilly (2014). Angela was born in Dublin, Ontario. She was a devoted teacher, starting her career in 1945 in a one room schoolhouse in Perth County, Ontario. She subsequently was a classroom teacher in London for the London and Middlesex District Roman Catholic Separate School Board. She retired in 1986 from the position of Mathematics Coordinator for the board. Angela was a graduate of the University of Western Ontario having earned Bachelor of Arts and Master of Education degrees. She was a long time member of the Holy Family Parish Church, having served as Eucharistic minister, reader and a member of the Catholic Women's League. Her love of family, gardening, books and music grew through the years. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Wednesday, April 22 from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass at Holy Family Parish, 777 Valetta Street, on Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment at St. Peter's Cemetery. Prayers Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m. Memorial donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada would be appreciated.
