Obituary of Violet Elizabeth Backwell

BACKWELL (nee Gilbrook) At Longworth Nursing Home on Sunday, January 8th, 2012, Violet Elizabeth (Betty) Backwell in her 78th year. Cherished mother of Beth Carroll, Duke Backwell and his wife Tammy, and Kara Ross and her husband Timothy. Loving grandmother of Amber-Lynn Backwell, Jessica Carroll, Jason Carroll, Shannon Ross, and Brooklynn Backwell. Dear sister of Katharine McEllistrum (Robert), Patricia Senese, and Roy Gilbrook (Sandy). Betty was recently predeceased by her beautiful and loving mother, Gertrude Gilbrook. Betty will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. A very sincere Thank You to the amazing staff at the Longworth Home Lily ward for their loving care and support. Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street, London on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 11 am. Service to immediately follow visitation at 12 noon. Cremation to follow. In memory of our mother's love for all animals, a donation to the London Humane Society would be appreciated.
