Elia, Carmine - Passed away unexpectedly in London on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at the age of 66. Beloved husband of Dorina Elia. Loving and proud father of Liliana (James), Daniela (Mike), and Mirella (Rob). Loving Nonno of Matthew, Sebastian, Carmine, Christian, Gabriela, Olivia, Lucas, and Melina. Dearest son-in law of Rosa Frassia of Italy. Loving Brother of Eugenio (Yolanda) of Toronto, Assunta Dodaro (Francesco) of Italy, Anna Bruno of Toronto, Stano (Assunta) of Toronto, Salvatore (Anna) of Italy. Brother-in law to Marisa (Carmine) of Italy, Pina (Gianni) of Italy, Franco (Elena) of Italy. Also loved by Sister-in law Maria Elia and Ida Elia and brother-in law Luigi Lanzino. Survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada, Italy, and Argentina. He was preceded in death by his sisters Rosa, Emlia, Maria and his brothers Giovanni, Gregorio, and Mario. His bright blue eyes and smile would light up a room. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, being in the garden, watching western movies and a good cigar. He would never let us forget about the Maple "Laffs" Leafs. Visitors will be received at the JOHN T. DONOHUE FUNERAL HOME , 362 Waterloo Street, London on Monday, October 13 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Prayers will be at 3pm. Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 14 at 11am at St. Mary's Church, 345 Lyle Street, London. Entombment at St. Peter's Cemetery & Holy Family Chapel Mausoleum, 806 Victoria Street, London. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Diabetes Association.
