Obituary of Frank Joseph Lewis

Lewis, Frank Joseph At LHSC University Hospital on January 3 2012 Frank Lewis beloved husband for 63 years of Eleanor (McParland) Lewis, in his 95th year. Loving father of Martin and his wife Kelly Sullivan of Montreal, Matthew of Calgary and Michael of London. Dear grandfather of Alexander and Justine. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Helen, his brothers Stanley, Victor and Karl, and his brother in law Donald McParland. Survived by his brother in law Stanley McParland. Also survived by 9 nieces and nephews, 21 great nieces and great nephews. Frank graduated in 1939 from the University of Alberta with a BA of Science in Mining Engineering. Frank was a lifetime member of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Pertroleum for 69 years; was a member and president of the Kiwanis Club in Noranda, Quebec, in 1956 at a meeting in London, Ontario Frank was appointed the Lieutenant Govenor of the Ontario-Quebec-Maritme District of Kiwanis International. Frank was a long time employee of CIL Canadian Industries Limited in Montreal. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, London on Friday January 6 2012 from 2-4PM and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass at St. Michael's Church, 511 Cheapside Street, London on January 7th at 11AM . Cremation will follow with interment at a later date at St. Peter's Cemetery in London. Prayers will be held Friday January 6th at 3:30PM. Donations to the Canadian Red Cross would be appreciated.
