KERSTEN, Josie Helena (nee Lamers)
BORN September 29, 1935
Peacefully passed away on November 6, 2019 at Parkwood Palliative Care London Ontario. Beloved wife of the late John Kersten of over 52 years. Loving Mother of Carolyn Chapman, Rosemary (John) Pollock, and Sandra (Jim) Catton. Loving Grandma of Cheryl Chapman, Fraser and Brittany Pollock, and Jillian Catton and her dog Pepper. Survived by her siblings, Peter (Annie) Lamers, Antoinette Vande Wetering, Willie (Morris) Hoefnagels, Aleida Goris, Willy (Agnes) Lamers, and Mary Landuyt. Survived by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law John Vanderheyden, Tony Hoefnagels, Corrie Lamers, Bert Kusters, Jo Kersten-Selten, Henk Kersten, Piet Kersten, Marietje and Jan Verheijen-Kersten, Mies Kersten-Scheers, Stien Kersten-Gerrits. Also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Martin and Anna Lamers; her siblings Kees Lamers, John Lamers, Martin Lamers Jr., Katie Hoefnagels, Corrie Kusters, Andy Lamers, and Annie Vanderheyden, and brothers and sisters-in-law Peter Vande Wetering, Henk Goris, Joe Landuyt, Marion Lamers, Lezora Lamers, Piet and Nellie Keijzers-Kersten, Jo and Bertha Barten-Kersten, Jan and Mia Caspers-Kersten and Ann Caspers, Gerrit and Paula Kersten-vd Gijn, Riek Kersten-Kroon, Loet Kersten, Bert Kersten, Wim Kersten. Visitation at JOHN T. DONOHUE FUNERAL HOME, 362 Waterloo St, London, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. Roman Catholic Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Mary Immaculate Church, 1980 Trafalgar Street, London on Monday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Parkwood Institute Palliative Care c/o St. Joseph's Health Care Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
