"To the illuminated mind, the whole world burns and sparkles with light" -Ralph Waldo Emerson
Paula was this; a high-school chum whose bright mind, and cheerful beauty held a wisdom far beyond her years. I see her now, sitting with "papa" and an espresso - each a healing elixir for the other.
Joan and Julia, you are in our heart and our prayers as you say goodbye - for now.

Paula was someone to be admired even during the infancy of her journalism career at CHRW-FM. A true lady of high character who was always willing to engage and encourage novices and aspiring journalists.
My condolences are extended to Paula's family and friends - those who were there for her life's journey.

Paula and I were good friends at St. Michael's Elementary School. She wrote such fabulous stories, and I always loved watching her draw these amazing illustrations to accompany her tales. We had a lot of fun together doing crafts, acting out stories, writing humorous illustrated letters to each other and going to movies together. Jesus Christ Superstar and The Three Musketeers were two of our favourites.
During high school and university, we didn't see as much of each other as we had different friends and social circles, but we renewed our friendship with each other when we both moved to Toronto. We had some lovely times there together with mutual friends. And Paula was the most enthusiastic dancer at a party my husband, Marty, and I had at the Tranzac Club to celebrate our marriage! It was so much fun to have her there; her enthusiasm for the music was infectious.
Although we both moved out of Toronto and I have not seen Paula for a number of years, she is still in my heart. She was a really wonderful, intelligent, interesting, creative, kind person, who had an incomparable zest for life.
We send our deepest condolences to Mrs. Lenardon, Julia and Paula's entire family on the loss of your beloved daughter, sister and cousin.

Paula was an amazing person whom I had a great deal of respect for. Fabulous person, great reporter and a tremendous fighter. We worked together at CBLT and she brought a shine to the newsroom that was like no other. My thoughts are with her family and friends during this difficult time.

What a journalist force. I worked with Paula at CBLT Toronto through the 1980s and she shone bright, always ready for the next assignment. Paula never once let her personal challenges ever get in the way of telling her stories. Paula took such pride in her work, as she should, a great story teller who never missed her slot! Safe journey dear friend.

I remember meeting Paula at Western and recognizing immediately her drive and enthusiasm for reporting. It was a pleasure watching her own every workplace she brought her talent to, and the smiles of her colleagues when Paula was in full flight. She never let MS define her, and earned the respect of us all. Admiration to her family for caring so beautifully for her over many years. - Kevin Newman

Joan, Julia, Rory and Carmen,
My sincerest condolences to all of you on the loss of a cherished daughter, sister, and cousin. My families deepest condolences. Paula and I worked together at Global News. She was a great colleague who helped all of us in the newsroom. She was kind and thoughtful in a business that sometimes wasn't that way.
