Obituary of Margaret Isabel Ward

Ward, Margaret Isabel (nee MacMillan) Peacefully passed away at Country Terrace Nursing Home in Komoka, ON October 4, 2019, at the age of 93. Born in North Battleford, Saskatchewan on July 5, 1926. Loving wife of the late Wade "Bud" Ward (2007) for 61 years. Dear and beloved mother of Cathy (Leonard) Hautanen, Linda (Gary) Doerkson, Fred (Janis) Ward, Mary (Tom) Schweiger. Survived by her sister-in-law Joan Ward and daughter-in-law Sue Ward. Predeceased by her son Ian Ward, daughter Susan Leslie, sister Orma Melvin, son-in-law David Leslie, brother-in-law Bob Ward, and grandchildren Christopher Spencer and baby Jennifer Leslie. Proud, loving grandmother of Daniel (Janey), Roger (Carolyn), Lindsay, Arthur (Yvonne), Jennifer (Jay), Kelly (Garth), Ashli, Amber, Luke, Chelsea (Nic), Brad (Danielle), Nicole, Joshua and Jacob, and many loved great grandchildren. The family would like to thank dear friends Jennifer Oliphant and Cathy Hall for their constant outpouring of support. A heart felt thank you to the incredibly caring Country Terrace team. Their unconditional love for mom did not go unnoticed by her family during her stay. A private family inurnment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in London will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army would be welcomed. Marg’s strong spirit and character will always be remembered.
