Mero, William David Jacob (Bill) Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, September 22, 2019 William David Jacob (Bill) Mero in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Dr. Mary Eileen Campbell-Mero and the late Maureen Elizabeth Mero (1986). Loving father of Jim Mero (Mariette), Dave Mero, Mary Pat Vollick, Paul Mero (Sharon Oosthoek), Laurie Ellison (Ed), Peggy Bloomfield, Jozell Campbell (Stephen Reid), Cedell Campbell and Kemesha Lehloenya (Mphosi). Cherished Papa of Shannon (Adam), Nicole, William (Janet), Kristina, Caitlin (Ryan), Peter (Amanda), Ben, Cole, Karlie, Jaden, Noah, A.J., Luke, Marcus, Trinity, Michael and Preston William. Adored great-grandpa of Averie and Isla and step great-grandpa of Austin. Bill was a proud member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Council 6246, as well as a longtime parishioner of Holy Family Parish where he spent so much of his time serving his faith community. His unwavering devotion to his faith and unconditional love of his family are the beautiful legacies he leaves behind. With abundant gratitude we thank Dr. Brian J. Larocque and all the amazing nurses and staff at University Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion. Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, London, on Wednesday, September 25th from 2-4 and 7-9 o’clock. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Parish, 777 Valetta Street, London, on Thursday September 26th at 10 o’clock. Prayers will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 3 o’clock. Interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Donations to the St. Joseph’s Hospitality Centre (Soup Kitchen) would be greatly appreciated. “Well done my good and faithful servant, you have fought the good fight, you have finished the race, you have kept the faith.”
