Obituary of John Charles Moroney

MORONEY, John Charles John “Jack” Charles Moroney passed away peacefully in his sleep at age 93 on September 19, 2019. Only child born in Baie des Cedres, Quebec to Mary Josephine Moran and William James Moroney on February 3, 1926. Cherished by Marjorie Moroney (Downey), his true love and marriage partner for 62 years. His presence will be missed by Marie Carr (Brian), Jim Moroney (Tina), Mike Moroney(Patricia), Peter Moroney (Winnie), Laura Morgan (Dave), and his many grandchildren and great grandchildren who all dearly loved him. Our country was fortunate to have him as a soldier at age 18 who fought for the freedom of others. We were truly blessed to have this man as the patriarch of our family. His kindness and caring nature is legendary, and all who met him were better for having done so. May he rest in peace. A private family service will be held with cremation and inurnment at St. Peter's Cemetery. Donations can be made to the Program Department, Chartwell London Long Term Care Residence, 2000 Blackwater Rd, London, ON N5X 4K6 in honour of his name. This became his final home where he was still able to share time with his wife.
