Dear Marie and Liz,
We are writing on behalf of our deceased mother, Beryl, and our Dad, Richard, as well as on our behalf, to express our sincere condolences on your father’s passing.
As you all know, Duncan cared for our parents’ beautiful garden on Wellington St. in north London for more than 20 years. Being a relatively large garden, with our mother as an overseer….who could be quite particular and demanding……this was a full time job with plenty of challenges and lots of opportunities to shine as well. Your father constantly rose to the occasion, especially for major events, like three weddings! It is forever etched in our minds as an exquisitely beautiful place. And it enjoyed considerable renown with photos of it having been in a number publications.
Your father was a fine man – gentle, kind, humble and proud. We know you will miss him terribly.
Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
With kind regards,
Richard Ivey, Jennifer Ivey Bannock, Rosamond Ivey and Suzanne Ivey Cook
P.S. We are seeking a planting opportunity to honour Duncan and will let you know when it has been identified.
