David McWhirter, was a long-time member, and a Docker of the Port franks Yacht Club. Dave was an avid supporter of the club. Dave for many years as the unofficial ground’s keeper, made sure the grass was watered and trimmed, planted flowers, and always provided a willing hand to the various tasks that needed to be done. Dave always had his companion Soffie by his side as he surveyed the grounds. Dave will be missed by all.
Thank you, Dave for being the great friend to all.

Heaven's angels must be smiling. Dave's philosophy was "You have to have a laugh every day!" And he exemplified that philosophy. Thanks for all the laughs, my friend. Will never forget your smile.

When the Lord calls our loved ones home, he leaves a gift of memories in exchange.
Dave was a great supervisor, with his pranks and his great laugh. I have a lot of good memories from our years working together. Peter and I will also miss seeing Dave at the marina in Port Franks. Our condolences to the McWhirter family. Rest In Peace Dave.
