Obituary of Christina Vendel

VENDEL, Christina “Christel” (nee: Verdoold) Passed away peacefully, with family by her side on Monday, May 20, 2019 in her 95th year. Predeceased by loving husband John. Cherished mother of Cor and his wife Susan. Survived by sister Alice De Weerd of Exeter. Also predeceased by her parents John and Hendrika Verdoold and brothers Nico and Wim Verdoold of Holland. She will be missed by her nieces, nephews and extended family in Canada and Holland. Christel was a long-time member of the German Canadian Club Lyra Choir and her beautiful voice will be missed by all. Visitors are welcome to John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street, for visitation on Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 12 noon to 1 o’clock. A memorial service will follow in the John T. Donohue Funeral Home Chapel. Private interment to take place at a later date. If desired, in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
