Robert & Betty Fletcher posted a condolence

One wonders were all the time goes. It seems like just last week when we met Reg at our 50th wedding anniversary. He was a very close friend and confident when we were growing up especially when my brother was killed in an automobile accident at the age of 19. Reg was there for me to talk to and help me through that tough time. Then we we got together working at the Packet and Times we had a ball. The week-ends were absolutely crazy and we attended every dance hall in the area trying to find the right girl. Boy what a time.
However when i asked Reg to be my Best Man at my wedding he told me that I would have to drive because he didn't have his licence yet. What a hoot - me driving and Reg and my wife Betty sitting in the back seat.
He was a great friend and an even better employee. I am very sorry that I did not keep in touch with him in the later years after his wife Marg passed away. We will miss him dearly and think of him often as a friend, co-woker and especially as our Best Man.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Reg. Our deepest sympathy. I worked with Reg at the Packet & Times many years ago and he was the best man st my wedding. We had great times together in Orillia and he was a very dear friend. He attended our 50th wedding anniversary in 2012 and we had a great reunion talking old times. He will be greatly missed. Once again our deepest sympathy to the family.
