Peacefully, with her family by her side, on Monday, October 1, 2018 Maria Consolata Oliva in her 85th year. Loving wife of the late Giovanni Oliva (2004). Cherished mother of Carmela Marek (Milan), Joseph (Anna), late Teresa (1955), late Ivana Brisson (2018) (Michael), Lisa MacMaster (David) and John (Suzy). Loving Nonna to her most precious grandchildren: Christina (Ab), Peter (Sandra), Brian (Sandy), John (Mellisa), Marie (Robert), Stefan (Rabaab), Matthew, Adam, Mark, Jacob, Luke, Nicholas and Nathan. Adored great Nonna to Sophia, Maya, Mateo, Dante, Andrej, Joseph, William and Nolan. Dear daughter of the late Giovanni and Teresa Chinni. Dear sister of Benito (Maria). Predeceased by her siblings Antonietta (Antonino), Salvatore (Maria), Rosa (Carmelo) and Giuseppe (Tota). Dear daughter-in-law of the late Giuseppe and Carmela Oliva. Sister-in-law of the late Filippo (Tita), late Domenico (late Pia), Frank (late Sandy), Josephine (John), Antonio (Liliana), late Stefano (Ana), Orazio (Mary), Nicolina (late Peter). Zia Maria will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.

Maria's children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life. The legacy of Maria's kind spirit, passion for cooking and her endless strength, will live on through all of them. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Thursday, October 4th from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Church, 345 Lyle Street, on Friday morning, October 5th at 11 o'clock. Entombment in Holy Family Mausoleum, St. Peter's Cemetery. Donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
