Obituary of Salvatore Andaloro

At University Hospital on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, peacefully with family by his side, Salvatore Andaloro of London, passed away in his 87th year. Dear husband of the late Franca (2011), son Santo (2009) and granddaughter Jaden (2001). Cherished father and father-in-law to Maria Raffa (Santino), Carmelina Salomone (Nick), Daniela Zeledon (Silvio). Loving Nonno to Vanessa (Mike), Marc (Megan), Anthony, Emily, Vienna, Joaquin. Bisnonno to Mikaila and Olivia. Also missed by brother-in-law Salvatore Zullo (Pina), several nieces, nephews and friends from London, Italy and Australia. Predeceased by his parents Maria and Santo, and siblings Anna (Stefano), Nunziata (Antonio), brother Giuseppe (Domenica), Carmela (Francesco), Grazia (Francesco), Rosa (Domenico), Rosalia (Vincenzo). Sal retired as a custodian for the London and Middlesex Catholic School Board after 21 years of service. Before dad's medical status, he was an active member of the Sicilia Club of London where he enjoyed socializing over many Sicilian cooked meals, parties and trips with family and friends. We are grateful to have shared weekly outings playing bocce, bowling, bingo and cards, enjoying our time together and keeping spirits high. We will miss our father's smile and twinkle in his eyes; that expression of love and gratitude towards his family for their devotion to his special needs. The family would like to acknowledge all the nurses, doctors and staff at University Hospital, MSICU and Parkwood Hospital, Complex Care Unit, in particular Susan, Amanda and Judy for their exceptional and compassionate care. A special thank you to Gloria for all the warmhearted haircuts. Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street, King and Waterloo, on Monday, September 17, 2018 from 6 o'clock to 9 o'clock in the evening. Funeral mass to be held at St John the Divine Parish, 390 Baseline Road West, on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 10:30 in the morning. Interment to follow at St Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Complex Care 3A East, Parkwood Hospital would be appreciated.
