Obituary of Constance Eileen Lindsay

Lindsay, Constance On August 14, 2018, Constance Eileen Lindsay (nee Dunne) passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and loved ones, after a fierce fight against cancer. Born on December 6, 1954, in Dublin Ireland, her family immigrated to Canada in 1968, where she eventually settled in London, Ontario. Connie will be forever remembered as the most loving, supportive, and proud Mum to Kathleen (Stephen) Pierce and adoring Granny to Allison Constance Pierce. Connie’s special love and relationship with Kathleen was the essence of who she was and how she lived her life. Connie is predeceased by her parents, Eamonn and Iris Dunne, and is survived by her beloved siblings, May (James), Kath (Nick) and Shane (Nancy), and her many nieces and nephews, Robert (Shannon), Brenda (Joseph), Amy, Julian (Emily), Naomi (Dave), Sam and Jack. Connie was a uniting force for her family, often hosting family gatherings where there was always singing, laughter and an abundance of food. Connie took enormous pride in her work at the CRA and loved the people she worked with. To say she will be missed is an understatement. Connie was always laughing, and her energy was infectious. Her positive disposition touched the lives of everyone around her, and the world is less for her passing. As we say in Irish, “Tá sí imithe ar shlí na fírinne”, she has begun her journey on the Way of Truth. Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Sunday from 2-5 o'clock where a Memorial Service will be held on Monday morning at 11 o'clock. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
