My family also had a cottage on Mid-Huron Beach.I have nothing but great memories of those days. My brother and I would try and tag along (there were a number of us) with Jerry and Sean knowing it would either be an adventure or a disater but usually both.
The beauty of going with them meant everything could go wrong and my brother and I would hold no responsibility. This was mainly because Jerry and Sean had such an established track record when it came to disasters that everyone assumed it was their fault. As a result, I was never blamed for anything.... I even pinned a few things on Jerry and Sean because I knew I could get away with it (sorry). This was the ultimate dream for an 12 year old mischief maker like myself. I thank both Jerry and Sean for being my accomplices and friends.
I also attended CCH with Sean and Jerry. Their ability to sweet-talk, excite and entertain an audience was beautiful- and I was amazed. They both should be proud.
To the Hagarty family, I'm sorry for your loss and hope you find solice. Jerry will remain with us forever.

Gerald (Jerry) W. Hagarty
will be dearly missed by all of the individuals he touched. A touch that was always kind, fun, loving, understanding, supportive and so much more. A wonderful, outgoing and Helpful Friend that always provided a Listening Ear for anyone~~~and more valuable was his very objective views...and yes, you would also hear his very personalized opinion of the situations, although, Jerry presented through His open, positive and loving Heart, providing suggestions he offered for others to consider helping them achieve their goals.
He Truly cared so much for others and combined with his humbleness, anyone he spoke with could see His genuine Love for others. His Touch was clearly apparant with cats and dogs amongst other animals also, a natural bonding with them as they would quickly cuddle up and enjoy his Loving Energy.
Never was there any conflict with Jerry, rather was a Man who committed his life to God through helping others with zero selfishness.
Jerry is and was one of the kindness Souls that was my Honor to have known.
I enjoyed a close Friendship together doing so many many different things together and growing up together. I will never forget when I had to return to summer school at Beal to get my last credit required for entrance to UWO ...Western University...finished by lunch and quickly going to meet with Jerry who was always there waiting patiently for Our daily ritual Tennis Match. From a looser dreaded summer Jerry transformed it into a wonderful summer for both of us.
A Tremendous Bonus with knowing Jerry was there was initially Two Jerrys. Yes, Twin Brother Sean, an identical twin brother that I have the same feelings about.
The three of us all became very good friends doing many many ....some maybe not all good, life experiences together....in many capacities....from AlterBoys to Bishop Assistants at St. Peter's Cathredral Basillica, to Kitchen dishwashers, Learning Sailing, Karate, as Roommates, and many others is a Bond that will last forever.
Jerry......
"An Angel on Earth"
Rest In Peace my Friend
With Lots of Love to my Good Friend Sean, Mr. W. Hagarty and to all of the Hagarty Family & Extended Family members.

p.s.
Shortly after we first met at Catholic Central High, Jerry along with twin brother Sean, were thoughtful with introducing myself to the Bishop of London and Middlesex County. At the time was Cardinal Carter ( Bishop designation at that time ) and was offered the prestigious position of "Bishop Assistant" during the Celebration of Mass when the Bishop would say the Mass, and additionally, other Sacraments.
When Bishop Carter was promoted to ArchBishop, we all were Honored to serve for Bishop Sherlock in the same capacity. Additionally, we got to assist numerous Priests for mass and various Sacrament Offerings.
The conversations amongst the three of us as we were investigating and discussing the many learning experiences when we were maturing into young adults. Resultantly, all of us benefited from 3 common or varying perspectives of three Great Friends working together, and thus broadening each other's scope and knowledge.
I will never forget the memories of serving on the Alter for the Ordination of Bishop Gervais. Numerous Cardinals, Bishops, Priests, Deacons all singing Glory to God in the Highest. The Energy is unexplainable. A Gift from God to be part of such.
I'll really miss you Jerry...Your Friend Vits.
