Patrick, Laverne Francis "Chic" At Mt. Hope Centre for Long-Term Care on Sunday, June 8, 2014 Laverne 'Chic" Patrick in his 90th year. Loving husband of the late Alma Theresa (Flanagan). Dear father of Michael (Karen), Paul (Sandra), John (Lorraine), Mark (Kim), and Jeffrey (Cheryl). Loving grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Predeceased by an infant son (1951), his brothers Ted, Percy and Ken Patrick and his sisters Jean Gaffney and Phyllis Gardner. Survived by his sister in law Joan Ward. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Chic was a Veteran of WWII and a former employee of General Motors Diesel. The family wishes to thank the staff at Mt. Hope for their exceptional care, and also Sharon Hoos for all her help during the last fours years with Alma and Chic. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Wednesday, June 11th from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael's Church, 511 Cheapside Street, on Thursday morning, June 12th at 10 o'clock. Cremation with interment in St. Peter's Cemetery at a later date. Prayers to be held on Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Donations to the Alzheimer Society or Cystic Fibrosis Canada would be appreciated.
