Death of a family member is heart breaking and can leave us questioning our faith. It is during this time where we simply become task oriented as the motions of planning for the funeral takes over. We become strong for others not knowing where we will find that strength in ourselves to say goodbye to someone who means so much. For some she will simply be a part of her world but for a select few she would have been their entire world. How do you say goodbye to that you may ask and the answer is you don’t. You simply say “until we meet again”. So take every opportunity to celebrate her life knowing someday you will be together again.
Grief will hit you like waves in the ocean. Sometimes you tread the water while other times you get pulled farther from shore and struggle to say afloat. Allow others to lend their strength when you find lacking. Don’t take this journey alone as there are many friends and family members were finding the words are difficult and are looking for someway to provide comfort. We are quick to give this help to others yet reluctant to accept it ourselves. The bigger the love, the bigger the grief. So embrace each other, swap some stories, and know that wherever we are we carry our loved ones with us ❤️
