We met Bernie when we first moved into 110 St Lawrence Blvd back 2008. The first thing you discovered was how kind, generous abd kindly a man he was. He introduced himself as Bernie and regularly called us neighbour. He offered to help with chores or with the 3 annoying walnut trees in the backyard. I am not one of those handy dandy guys who has all the tools needed for every job so whenever I needed a ladder or wheelbarrow etc Bernie was quick to offer his saying, "just go ahead and use it". I appreciated that but always asked first. Bernie was an old fashioned neighbour who we felt more of a family member. It was extremely painful watching him slowly decline after the passing of his wife. This last year was sad and now we have to say 'Adieu'. Bernie you were a great man and we are better for having this last decade. Thanks neighbour we'll miss you.

My wife Elizabeth and I would like to extend our condolence to the Crane Family. I worked for Bernie in Tillsonburg while he was the Sergeant in charge of the Tillsonburg Detachment. He was well respected by the men and women of the Tillsonburg Detachment. Thank You Bernie for all your help. R.I.P.
