Obituary of Elizabeth Anne McCaffrey

McCaffrey, Elizabeth (Betty) Peacefully after a long courageous journey at LHSC University Hospital on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 Elizabeth (Betty) McCaffrey in her 74th year. Beloved wife of Michael McCaffrey for almost 50 years. Loving mother of Joel McCaffrey and his wife Jill and Matthew McCaffrey and his wife Samantha. Proud grandmother of Claire, Noah, Ryan, Isaac, and Benjamin. Dear sister of RoseMary Cleary, the late Bill Sert and sister in law of Julie Sert. Betty will be fondly remembered by all the McCaffrey family, as well as her nieces, nephews and their families. Betty's favourite times were spent playing cards with her family. She especially enjoyed their time together on Christmas Eve, where she was able to showcase her famous cabbage rolls. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Friday, May 26 from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael's Church, 511 Cheapside Street, on Saturday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
