From her early childhood as a curley haired little blonde, to adulthood as a strong sailor, paddler and lover of nature, Bernie was an individual well loved by our family. A wry sense of humour, compassion for the less able, a willingness to go out of her way to assist others, thougtfulness, patience -- these are some of the many fine traits we knew and for which we so appreciate Bernie. In her strengths she is a fine role model for the nieces and nephews so important to her, who we know she dearly loved. We will be pasting more examples of what we admire on the google doc set up for the purpose. But this is just a short affirmation that Bernadette brought much love and joy to so many of us. Her light is not extinguished!
