My late mother, Anna, worked with Yole at Victoria Hospital and I knew her from my childhood. She was a warm, fun-loving, lady who was a devoted friend. I will always remember Yole's kindness when my mother passed away 16 years ago. My sincere sympathy to her family. May the many wonderful memories you made help to ease your heartache over Yole's passing.

Yole was my mother-in-law for 20 years. She was always a compassionate, caring, and loving person. Yole would do anything for her family. Her grandchildren meant the world to her. I know Theresa, John, and Kristi have many, many wonderful memories of their Grandma Yole, that will last them a lifetime. Yole will be deeply missed, but forever in the hearts of her family and friends.

I have been fortunate enough to be a friend of Kristi Darnell. I know how much Kristi loved her Nonna and that in itself tells me what a fantastic woman Nonna was. My heart goes out to Kristi and her whole family for the feelings of loss Nonna's passing will leave in their lives. May she rest in peace knowing she was so very loved.

We got to have a sleep-over with Gi-Gi in the summer. It was fun! We had pizza for dinner and ate outside on our deck. Then we watched the movie "The Princess Bride." (Gi-Gi fell asleep). When it was time for bed, Gi-Gi slept in our room, and we stayed up late talking about boys! We love you and miss you Gi-Gi!!! Love Madeline and Chloe xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

The last day I was able to spend with "Little Yo" was about six weeks ago. Grandma was certain that she had something to do that day... the bank? groceries? an appointment? I tried to reassure her that she had nothing to do but hang out with me for the whole day. However, Grandma was not convinced... "Now Theresa, please, no really, tell me what I have to do today." To which I replied, "Well Little Yo, you do have one thing to do today... you have to decide if you want a kick in the pants or a punch in the nose. Come on now, which is it going to be?" We played this game throughout the day, and every time it made Grandma smile, which in turn made me smile! (And every time, she chose the kick in the pants - Grandma always was a smart lady!) I love you and miss you Little Yo! I hope someone up there is giving you a kick in the pants now and then to keep you in line! Love Theresa

Yole lived across from my grandfather's home on Albion Street and I've known her since I was born and she's known my mother Lorraine Sanham since she was a teenager. Yole was always full of life, love and had an amazing sense of humour. I moved from the neighbour 4+ years ago but popped in time to time for a quick chat and laugh. My sincerest condolences to her boys and family, she will be missed but never forgotten. Love Amy & Braden Lyde-Stad
