To the Vanderhulst Family,
I was disheartened when I heard that Adrian had passed away. He was a good neighbour and always waved when he drove up/down the street. Sometimes he stopped and asked about the well being of other older neighbours and or family members. Over the years we in return admired his flower gardens and I don't know if he ever realized the joy the colourful blooms brought to the street.
Just before last Christmas I walked up the street to hand deliver my Christmas card to Adrian. I had tucked a little note inside that I had was going to be his new neighbour. He gave me a big hug and told me he already knew. (We have lots of little birdies on our street).
Over the last few months, sometimes Adrian took us (and my contractor) by surprise as he often popped in to see how the reno's were coming along. He would look things over and then tell me, "Look's good!"
He told me one day, that he was very glad that I would be his neighbour and I was more than happy to think that I would be his neighbour and get to enjoy all of his gardening efforts.
We have lost a very kind and gracious man..
