Obituary of Frederick Ellis

Fred Ellis November 14, 1930 – November 18, 2016 Peacefully, and surrounded by his loving family, Fred Ellis passed away on November 18, 2016 at Arbor Trace Alzheimer’s Special Care Centre in London, Ontario. Fred was a loving husband to his late wife, Nora, for more than fifty-eight years. His children David (Joanne), Patricia (Ken Craig), Dennis (Buffy), Brian (Therese), Richard (Andrew Colwell) and Ron (Michele) will fondly remember their father for his caring nature, his warmth and his unwavering wit. Fred’s twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren will remember their Grampa as the sweet and gentle man who doted on each of them individually. Fred is the son of the late Richard and Jane Ellis. He enjoyed an especially close relationship with his siblings Richard “Dick”, June, Bill and their families. Fred worked for Ontario Hydro for more than forty years. Visitation will be held at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street, London, Ontario on Tuesday, November 22 from 3-5:00pm and again from 7-9:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at The Chapel at Windermere on the Mount, 1486 Richmond Street North (at Windermere), London, Ontario on Wednesday, November 23 at 12 noon. Fred’s family would like to thank and acknowledge the staff of Arbor Trace for their ongoing dedication and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Fred’s name to the Alzheimer Society of Canada (www.alzheimer.ca).
