Obituary of Tina Rizzo

Rizzo, Tina It is with great sadness that the family of Tina announces her paeaceful passing on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 95 years old. Tina was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Theresa (Bernardo), by brother Bill (Stella), Veto (Muriel) and infant brother Fiorindo. Tina will be missed by her sister Catherine Rogolino (Joe) and her many cherished nieces and nephews. She was fortunate to enjoy many years of travel with friends to exciting destinations such as New York City, California, Las Vegas, Italy, Greece, Portugal, and the Canary Islands. In years past she enjoyed playing darts and cards with friends. Tina's faith has always been important and has been a source of comfort. Her devoted belief in God has brought her peace throughout the years and in the time preceeding her death. Her family and friends will remember her kind and loving ways. The family wishes to thank the many people who visited Tina in the retirement and long term care homes and offered their support. They would also like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff who took such good care of Tina at the Marian Villa and for their compassion, patience and excellent care. Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Monday afternoon from 2-5 o'clock. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis - St. Martin Church, 46 Cathcart Street, on Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment at St. Peter's Cemetery. Parish prayers will be offered on Monday afternoon at ___ o'clock. In memory of Tina, memorial donations can be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
