Obituary of Jonathan Charles Gilmore

GILMORE, Jonathan Charles It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jonathan (Jonny) Gilmore, age 34, in Vancouver, B.C. on Tuesday, March 11, 2014. Born in London, Ontario, Jon attended Saunders Secondary and Fanshawe College and after moving to Nanaimo, B.C., attended Vancouver Island University. Jon had great spirit and attitude. He enjoyed the fellowship of all his friends in karate where he earned a 2nd degree black belt, Shorinjiryu Kenkokan. Jon had a great sense of humor, a kind and gentle heart, always the peace maker and a patient teacher and will be greatly missed. Jon is lovingly remembered by his parents Mary-Jo and Brian Gilmore (Nanaimo,B.C.), his sister Amanda (Brandonn), his grandparents Colleen and Bob Alexander, (Langley, B.C.), Rita and Charlie Gilmore (London, On, predeceased), his aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. There will be a Celebration of Life in Jon's honour on Saturday, May 10th at 1:00 PM to be held at the John T Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street, London, Ontario.
