DeSando, Concettina "Tina" Peacefully at her home with her family by her side, Tina De Sando on Saturday, May 7, 2016 in her 81st year. Beloved wife of the late Peppino (1997). Loving mother of Rosanna Trovato, Lisa DeMarco (the late Carlo), Joanna Manganaro (Tony), Leo De Sando (Bonnie), Mimmo De Sando (Linda). Proud and cherished nonna of Matthew (Kat), Alexandra (Carlos), Julia (Ivan) Franco, Gabriel (Natalie), Emily, Danielle (Jordan), Francesco, Joseph, Maria, Lindsay, Brenna, Joey and Luca. Bis nonna of Antonio Carlo. Dear sister of Arcangelo (Nella) Votta, Lina (the late Bruno) Mazzotta and Vince (Rosa) Votta. Dear sister-in-law of Maria Concetta (the late Francesco) Colombo, Palma (the late Antonio) Perugino, the late Isabella and Bruno Predonzan, the late Bruno and Maria De Sando, the late Dominic (Anna) De Sando, Vincenzo De Sando (the late Adelina). Zia Tina will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and their families in Canada, Italy, Switzerland and the U.S. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at LHSC – University Hospital and Parkwood Palliative Care for their compassion and care, as well as Dr. Kim, the VON and PSWs who cared for Tina at her home. Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 o’clock. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church, 345 Lyle Street, on Tuesday morning at 11 o’clock. Entombment at Holy Family Mausoleum, St. Peter’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Mary’s Church Restoration Fund or London Regional Cancer Program c/o LHSF would be appreciated.
