Obituary of Sister Mary Arthur Renaud

SISTER MARY ARTHUR RENAUD of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph in Canada, London neighbourhood, died peacefully April 7th in the Care Centre. Sister was born Clara Louise Renaud in 1926, received into the community in 1945 and lived her vowed commitment for 66 years. Lovingly remembered by her Sisters in community, her brother Norman, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her mother Florence Langlois, her father Thomas, her brothers Clarence, Austin, Erwine, and her sisters Evelyn, Dorothy, Marie Grace, Marion, Irene, Ruth, Betty Anne and Theresa. Having trained as an X-Ray technologist, Sister served in St. Joseph's Hospitals in Chatham and London as well as at the General Hospital in Killam Alberta. Imbued with a great love of people and networking she enjoyed serving on the Fanshawe College Advisory Board, the Board of Ontario Society of Radiology Technologists and St. Joseph's Health Centre, London. In 2008 Sister was granted a Life Membership from the Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Technologists in recognition of outstanding service to the Association. Her later years provided many opportunities to offer hospitality to quests at Mount St. Joseph. We are ever grateful for Sr. Mary Arthur's presence among us, her deep faith and caring heart. All services will be held at the Sisters Residence, 485 Windermere Rd. Visitation: Wednesday, April 9 from 4:00 - 5:30, and 6:30 - 8:30 Vigil Service: Wednesday, at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial: Thursday, April 10, 11 a.m. Burial at St. Peter's Cemetery
