LaBarbera, Antonina (Lina) On March 15, 2016 surrounded by her family and love, the sunshine and beauty of our life left to go to a glorious place. Due to the miracle of medicine and the will of God we were given fourteen wonderful years since our mom's last heroic battle with cancer. This woman fought and laboured to breathe until all were present, she waited until everyone visited and had something to eat, after everyone kissed and hugged her and with the last kiss being from her husband and his words "amore Mia" she left; even in her final moments she went on her own terms and with the class, courage and beauty only our mother could have. She even tried to make the hardest goodbye easier on all of us. This is our mamma. Loving wife of Francesco, mother of Lina (Michael Firth), John (Ruth) and Vince. Grandmother of Sarah, James, Michael, Jason, Brandon, Lydia, Grace, Frank Anthony and Nicholas. Great-Grandmother of William, Victoria and Vienna. Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Church, 345 Lyle Street on Saturday morning at 10 o'clock. Entombment in Holy Family Mausoleum - St. Peter's Cemetery.
