Obituary of Virginia "Ginger" Marie Metron

Surrounded by family, Metron, Virginia “ Ginger” Marie (McHale) on Saturday morning, January 23, 2016, Ginger accepted God’s call. Born in London ON, on October 10, 1941. Predeceased by her parents John Joseph and Frances (Turnbull) McHale and daughter, Angela. Survived by husband Joseph Metron and children Nathaniel (Carole), Christopher (Mary), Raphael (Cathy), Gabriel (Kristen) and daughter Nicole. Sisters, Martha Cassidy (late David), Frances Dowdeswell (Ian) brother John McHale (Sharon), and sister-in-law Marilyn Metron. Grandchildren Angela, Isaac, Olivia, Christie, Nicholas, Alexander, Ethan, and Emma. Ginger was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She dedicated her life to her family, friends, Church and community through countless hours of selfless service. Her work as a physiotherapist with the Thames Valley Children’s Centre and CPRI helped improve the life of children with disabilities. She was a tireless advocate and a pioneering board member of the Sunshine Foundation and a lifetime member of the Catholic Women’s League. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. John the Divine Parish, The Sunshine Foundation, and/or Wellspring. Cremation has taken place. A Mass in Celebration of Ginger’s life will be held at St. John the Divine Church, 390 Baseline Road W., on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 11am. Visitors will be received at Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm and on Thursday, January 28 from 10-11am at the church before Mass.
