Obituary of William Hugh Johnson

Peacefully at Parkwood Institute, William Hugh Johnson, was called home to our Lord, on Sunday, January 17, 2015 in his 95th year. Beloved husband of the late Marianne Johnson (nee Emberly). Dear father of William (Mary) of Oshawa, Hugh, Gerard (Linda), Anne Cronin (Tom) all of London, Mary Sanders (Louis) of Mitchell, Edna Donaldson of Highgate, Clare of London, Andy (Penny) of Thornhill and Theresa Segal of London. Predeceased by his children Joseph, Margaret, Tom, and by his grandson Paul Sanders. William is survived by his 24 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. A veteran of the Royal Canadian Air Force, William was stationed in England working as observer on Wellington planes during WWII. He then went on to work for CP Rail for 30 years as a conductor prior to retiring. William was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus in London. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Friday, January 22 from 7-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael's Church, 511 Cheapside Street, London, on Saturday at 11 am. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Donations to Covenant House would be greatly appreciated.
