Obituary of John Iwon

IWON, John with quiet dignity on August 25, 2011 aged 95 years. Born in Lublin, Poland. Husband of Angela (Pezdir) and loving father of Geni and her husband Kevin Garrett (who has inherited a shed full of fence pickets if anyone is interested.) Uncle to Leo Jablonski, Bea and Peter Service and their daughter Larisa; and to Mary Jursic and daughters Lori and Lisa. Predeceased by his parents Matthew and Maria and siblings Stan, Roman, Alec, Joseph, Walter, Lutek, Jozefa and Jadwiga. The family will receive friends at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street on Sunday from 6-9 o'clock. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael's Parish, 511 Cheapside Street on Monday morning, August 29, 2011 at 11 o'clock. Interment St. Peter's Cemetery. Prayers Sunday evening at 7 o'clock. If desired, donations may be made to the St. Michael's Church building fund.
