Peacefully at home, Iolanda left her earthly life in her 76th year on July 7, 2011. Heaven's gate swung gently open The Master called softly "Come" And you, mama, took the Master's hand And your work on earth was done. We'll never cease to miss you We'll shed many silent tears, Because we can no longer share with you Our hopes, our joys and our fears. One day in God's garden When the Master calls us to come You'll be at the gates with open arms And say to us "Welcome Home". Loving wife of 53 years to Pacio Lepore. Beloved and respected mother of Mike (Rita), Carmela (Nicola), Fortunato (Rose) and Peter (Mary). Cherished Nonna of Pasquale, Berina, Yolanda, Natasha, Francesca, Brianna, Lucas, Amelia and Marcello. Predeceased by two grandsons, Justin and Jacob Lepore. Who no doubt are already in Nonna's loving arms. Predeceased by parents Rosalbino and Maria Spina,sisters, Ada Catulli and Emilia Debartolo, brothers Giovanni and Battista Spina. Nieces, Adrianna Catulli Crovace and Antonella Lepore Lodder , Maria (Spina) Rogers. Brother - in - laws - Fortunato, Ettore and Gino Lepore, Antonio Pagnotta and Eugenio Debartolo. Sister-in-laws - Ada Lepore, Fenice Spina. Loving Sister of Esterina (Evaristo) Giardullo of Vancouver and Vincenzo (Fortunata) Spina of Kamloops, B.C. Loving sister in law of Annetta (Fortunato) Lepore, Nella (Ettore) Lepore, Alba (Antonio) Pagnotta, Silvanna and Guiseppe Lepore and Antonio and Silvia Lepore, Franco and Theresa Lepore all of London. Salvatore (Ada) Catulli of Oshawa and Rosetta (Giovanni) Spina of Kamloops B.C. Zia Yoli to many amazing nieces and nephews in London, Oshawa, Vancouver and Kamloops B.C. Our mother was respected and will be remembered as a kind, simple loving lady who loved to serve others and lived her faith every second of every day. The family would like to thank the wonderful doctors at the Cancer Clinic and LHSC - Dr. Welch, Dr. Lock, Dr. Sexton and Dr. Mujoomdar and Dr. Pezzutto for their dedication and their empathy towards their patients and their families. Pauline, P.J and Lindsay, our VON nurses, you were a perfect fit - you cared gently for our mom and always brought out that beautiful smile of hers. Jackie and Lise you were a Godsend and treated our mother with compassion and respect. Thank you also to all who prayed, cried and laughed with us, brought us food and kept us all afloat during this journey. Visitors will be received at Donohue Funeral Home on Sunday July 10th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday July 11th at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Entombment at St. Peter's Cemetery. Prayers Sunday evening at 8 o'clock.
