Obituary of Loreto Pasquale Manzara
Manzara, Loreto (Lorne) in his 88th year, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2011 at Victoria Hospital surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his wife of 48 years Mary Coombs (1995). Cherished by his children: Loretta (CSJ), Michael, Marion Glover, Joe and his wife Lori, and Teresa Mitchell. proud grandfather of Michelle, Nathan (Tabitha), Jordan, Karie (John), Lindsay (Wellington), Matthew, Ann Marie (Tyler), Jeff (Jen), Kristen (Michael), and Amanda. Great grandfather of Jacob, Addison, Andrew, Laura, Alyssa, Rachael, Amelia, Sofie, and Triteus. Predeceased by his son Fred (2001), parents Ferdinando and Domenica, sisters Mary Mosceo, Christina Clark, brothers Julio and Anthony, and his son-in-law Barry Glover. Survived by his sister-in-law June. Dearly missed by Rosanna Ardell, Judy Bedford, Allan Mitchell, Linda Sheridan and members of the Mosceo, Clark, Manzara, Johnson, Downie, Larsen and Lavacca families. Following RCAF service during WW II, Lorne was employed at General Motors Diesel for over 33 years. Special thanks to Dad's watchful neighbours Kay and Al Evans, weekly care visitor Krystina, Pastoral care Department of LHSC, nursing staff of Tower B, 9th Floor, Dr. Ott for his skillful hands, and particularly for his caring team members. Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street on Saturday evening from 7-9 o'clock and Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 o'clock. Vigil Prayers Sunday evening at 8 o'clock. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Martin of Tours Parish, 46 Cathcart Street on Monday morning July 11, 2011 at 11 o'clock.
